Master Spas Legacy model and others use this filter type. The Microban inhibits the growth of bacteria and algae.
Some Master Spas owners prefer to use a single threaded cartridge filter with 2 inch male pipe thread on the bottom and get rid of that 2 inch threaded pipe/stick with a top holder that keeps in a very small Eco-pur filter and the larger surrounding filter. Instead of those 4 items, you just need one 2 inch threaded filter that goes right in the same thread location as that standpipe.
Those standpipes tend to break anyways, so instead of buying a new standpipe, just use the correct alternative replacement filter.
